Data Protection Authority Extends Deadline for Public Feedback on all Draft Regulations

The Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka wishes to announce that the deadline for submitting feedback on all draft regulations, rules, guidelines and directives published on the official website www.dpa.gov.lk has been extended to 15th November 2024.

This extension is granted to ensure all stakeholders have adequate time to review the above draft documents and provide their valuable insights. The Authority is committed to developing comprehensive and effective personal data protection framework that reflects the concerns and suggestions of the stakeholders.

The Data Protection Authority therefore encourages all interested parties, including the public sector and private sector organizations and members of the general public to take this opportunity to participate in shaping the future of personal data protection in Sri Lanka. Feedback can be submitted via email to info@dpa.gov.lk using the template available at the website: www.dpa.gov.lk
